an article about “Le Costaud des Epinettes”

Scans from “Le Theatre” # 274 (May 1910). “Le Costaud des Epinettes” was a criminal comedy, and Lantelme played Irma Lurette, an actress who owns very important letters.

At least one of her gowns for this performance was designed by Madeleine Vionnet.

The comedy text can be read here.

On this photo you can also see a portrait that seem to represent the actress. I didn’t know the painter name, but an article about the same play in “Le Journal Amusant” contains a hint.

Do you see?

So the portrait is by Abel Faivre, and as we don’t know where it’s now, we can only hope some better image of it will be available one day.
