Lantelme postcards (part 4)

The postcard series # 143 by “LL Paris” contains photos from the most successful comedy with Lantelme, “Le Roi” (“The King”). It’s a satiric play about politicians, and Lantelme played Marthe Bourdier, a deputy’s wife.

Lantelme Le roi postcard

Six postcards “LL Paris” series 143 (Lantelme in “Le Roi”) and a variety (not tinted) of the first postcard. Captions: mlle Lantelme, “Le Roi”. Photos by Reutlinger (1908). (Mlle is short version of French mademoiselle = miss.) Postcard with Lantelme sitting on a bench missed a part of the photo and was partially restored by me.

And a bonus: looks like postcards with Lantelme were very popular, because publishers pictured 3 of them on an ad postcard.

La photo sur le banc est magnifique…
Je me demande ce que signifie “LL” (peut-être “Léopold et Léopold”,… grand-père et petit-fils Reutlinger)
